Art Training Workshop for Teachers & Caregivers of Persons with Autism

Aakar Foundation organized a two-day training workshop for teachers and caregivers of persons with autism on 20–21 August 2025 at AutismCare Society Nepal.

The workshop explored key themes, including:

• Understanding the difference between creativity and art

• Emphasizing the process of art-making over the final outcome

• Recognizing the psychological and emotional benefits of personal expression

Participants reflected on their roles as facilitators of creativity and engaged in small-scale creative exercises to experience the process firsthand.

On the second day, sessions focused on designing and delivering art classes tailored for persons with autism, equipping teachers and caregivers with practical tools to integrate art into everyday life and learning.
